Mountain biking in the Dolomites

We are planning a mountain biking trip in the Dolomites, and need to decide between the end of August/beginning of September and mid-October. Any advice about typical weather at these times, crowds, etc?

Hi Marc,

I don't know anything about biking, but October is our favorite time to be in the Dolomites. We've experienced warm days, cool evenings and from chilly to cold nights/early am and very little, if any rain. Not too much in the way of crowds either.
