We will be in Pompeii next month and will have an extra day after visiting the ruins and Mt. Vesuvius. We would like to spend the day casually exploring the Amalfi Coast, preferably by motorcycle, or a scooter large enough to ride 2 up. Does anyone have any suggestions for where we can rent a motorcycle in Pompeii or nearby?

Unless you are EXPERIENCED with motorcycles, the Amalfi coast on a 2 wheeler is a BAD idea.
Sorrento would probably be the place to rent one if that is the area you are staying.
Need IDP and motorcylce endorsement on your existing license.

Are you or your traveling partner licensed (and hopefully also experienced) motorcycle riders at home?
If yes, then these are the choices.

If you stay in Sorrento there are a few places: Jollyrent, Freeway Scooter, Penisola rent, etc. just do a google search.

It sounds carefree and lovely, but just remember that an awful lot of people get seriously injured on scooters while on holiday. If you don't really know what you're doing, this is an activity you might want to skip.

My husband is an extremely experienced motorcyclist. I, on the other hand, am not. Hence the need for a bike that can ride 2 people.
