Most Photogenic Villages Between Ravenna & Florence

Can anyone suggest two or three beautiful villages to photograph on the trip between Ravenna and Florence? I will be driving so I can go off the beaten path. Thanks in advance.

Hmm... You must be thinking of a different area. Positano is at least a six-hour drive from Florence.

Yes, I've been using it. Unfortunately, they have many more villages on it than the French version, lesplusbeauxvillagesdefrance, and they are so small or off the beaten path that it's hard to find much info or many images of them online. I suspect this is not an area many American tourists visit.

Portico di Romagna, especially its bridge.

We stayed there for several days one December and the whole town was decorated with little creche scenes, some traditional but many very creative and even outrageous.

Looks cute. I'll add it to my list. Maybe it was your pic on TripAdvisor I saw with the little creches?

We took a billion photos in this town, but have never posted them anywhere. One of my favorites is of a life-size manger scene made of wood surrounded by wooden people taking photos of it with their (real) phones.

JS, I think you you meant Ravello which is on the Amalfi Coast. Ravenna is near the Adriatic Sea, SE of Bologna.

If you have time to spare your could take the Via Faentina (SR302), the highway that connects Faenza to Florence.
Along its path you could see:
Brisighella
Marradi
Borgo San Lorenzo
Scarperia (slight detour from Borgo)
It’s actually a very scenic drive all along the route through the mountains, and it’s not really overly longer than the freeway through Bologna, not even one hour longer.
