Most convenient Florence car rental pick-up location

Hello Italy Experts! We will be spending three days in Florence in September. We plan to pick up a rental car on departing and then spend a week exploring Tuscany and Umbria. Question: which Florence pick-up location offers the least hassle and most straightforward exit from the area? We have read in previous posts that the airport location will be more expensive, but it might be worth the money if it's the easiest. We plan to return our car in Orvieto at the end of the week, so we might be limited to Hertz. Any help would be appreciated!

HERTZ
53 via del Sansovino

This location is the closest to the A1 freeway entrance (Firenze Scandicci).

The only other one (aside from the airport) is in the city center, on via Borgo Ognissanti.

As Roberto wrote, via del Sansovino is the most convent location. There is a tram stop just in front of the parking area, with the tram going to/from the station in few minutes. If you pick up or return a car there, be sure to follow religiously the city speed limit (50 km/h) as at the border of the city, in viale Etruria, there are two speed cameras that are probably the most profitable enterprise of Florence municipal administration.

We just took a taxi from the train station to Hertz on Sansovino. It was approximately 2 miles--not far.
They gave us easy directions out of the city toward Poggibonsi without getting near any ZTL's.
We too turned our rental car in at Orvieto--another especially lovely hill town. Our train into Rome Termini took 70 minutes.
