More than one airport in Rome?

Hi, Have been checking on flights for our June trip. When I typed Rome airport, 3 things came up - ROM, FCO, CIA. I would think there is only one airport but does it mean different terminals? Thanks.

No, there are two airports. ROM is the general code for any airport in Rome. FCO is the main airport which is used for international flights and most domestic flights, and CIA is a small airport used by some discount airlines. If checking flights to Rome use ROM.

Actually, neither FCO nor CIA are in Rome. Just as SFO is not in San Francisco. FCO about the same distance away from Rome as is SFO. It's in Fiumicino. Ciampino is mostly used by Ryan Air and is over an hour outside of Rome. FCO is the airport you want for Rome. It's the big international airport.
