My mother will be coming to Florence for a month while i'm living there. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to look for good apartments. She'd like something that can sleep 5-6 - her sisters and husband, and others will be coming for a week or so at a time. She'd like something central in a very safe neighborhood.

check out freereservation.com. check florence and go from there.found a nice apartment in rome for us and they have some in florence. good luck

I used VRBO.com to find aprtments in Florence and Rome. We rented one that slept 4 near Dante's house.
