Monterrosa to venice

What is the fastest route from Monterrosa to Venice? Through Milan or Florence? thanks

Looks like either Milano Centrale or Prato takes about 6 hours. More options through Milan it appears. We went through Milan due to a day in Verona. It was quite scenic, though that's not to say the other route won't be.

The fastest runs now route via Pisa and Florence. 4:57hrs for the run from Monterosso that departs at 7:35am. You will be on 4 different trains to get to Venice from Monterosso. There are a couple of runs that have one train change at Milan but these trips take 6.15hrs. You can see what I see on www.trenitalia.com.
