My mother and I are looking to book a hotel in Monterosso July 20-23. Do any of you have any good recommendations? We would like a place with a pool if possible. We're hoping to find something in the $150-$175 range.

A pool? I was just there and didn't see any obvious pools anywhere. After all, you've got the ocean right at your door step so a pool may be considered overkill by some. You might want to figure out if you want to stay on the old medieval side of town or the new side. We chose the old side and the hotel Albergo Marina. No, it doesn't have a pool. It was nice, centrally located, clean, friendly, big included breakfast and also big snack buffet with wine in the afternoon. It also falls into your price range.

I'd suggest you check the Italy Guidebook or TripAdvisor for lodging suggestions. The Hotel suggested in the previous post would be a good one to consider.
