I've narrowed it down to 3 options!! I've looked at the individual websites, and the tripadvisor comments, but wanted any trusted RS feedback you all may have from experience!! All three look great in their own right... Cat, I've never stayed in any of the properties you listed, but they all look good. They all appear to be located in the Centro Storico, in the same area as the Hotel I usually stay in (Villa Steno). I'm note sure why Albergo Marina would bill itself as the "near Vernazza hotel"? Perhaps they're addressing the popularity of Vernazza by encouraging visitors to stay in Monterosso (at their property)? Of the two towns, I much prefer Monterosso. In one sense, it is "near Vernazza" as the train ride between the two towns is only about five minutes, and the start of the trail is only 5-10 minutes walk from the hotel. One factor that would be important for me is whether breakfast is provided or available. I haven't checked, but if the reviews on Trip Advisor are all about the same, I'm sure any of them would be good. If you need information on restaurants or whatever, post another note. Happy travels!

Hi Ken. They do all include breakfast, good tip to look for though! Thanks :) Now I'm down to Marina or Manuel's. Marina is remodeled, charming, upstairs dining garden with a view, lemon groves, and free use of beach supplies, kayak, bikes... (Great!!) Manuel's has the phenomenal Ligurian Sea views and patios from the rooms...
I wish I could just sample the beds and see where I will sleep most comfortably after long hikes! Haha. Ahhh, decisions, decisions...

Hi Cat, We are booked at Albergo Marina in May, I thought it looked fabulous. My suggestion is to start with what you like best and check availability. Don't know when you are going but some of these places book up we'll in advance! Enjoy your trip!
