my husband and I are planning 3 days in cinque terre in september. We'd like to stay in Monterosso. Any recommendations on lodging? A few options that looked good were La Surra Sul Mare, Hotel Margarita, and La Villa Degli Argentieri. Any advice? Thanks!

Hi Diana. We stayed at Albergo Margherita in Sept '09 & enjoyed it. It's refurbished and very modern and comfortable. The room was fairly small but very clean and cozy. The breakfast buffet was fantastic; there was a large variety of items. It was the largest buffet we saw during our 2.5 weeks in Italy & we loved it. We had to check out very early in the morning to catch a train (approximately 5:30 am) & the hotel was nice enough to deliver sack breakfasts to our room the night before. We thought this was a really nice touch & sure appreciated it.

Have stayed at Albergo Pasquale. Very nice.
