Monterosso: Angelo's Boat Tours Highly Recommended!

Would like to add my recommendation for anyone visiting Cinque Terra to make time for Angelo's Boat Tours, right on the beach in Monterosso al Mare. My wife and I arrived in Monterosso earlier this month drained from the heat, frustrated with the unreliable Italian regional trains, and exhausted. When we stopped by Paula & Angelo's to confirm our tour on the way to the hotel, Paula was an angel, taking us into the air-conditioned home to cool down, providing wine, offering food, even offering to let us use her washer for laundry! She also offered to postpone our tour a night, which we did. Even though rough seas the next night meant we could not cruise, we enjoyed a large and delicious home-made meal prepared by Paula and Angelo on the boat, with no expectation of payment. We were more than happy, however, to insist that they take something. Their idea seems to be to offer cruises for couples or small groups that are fun, informal, flexible, and personalized, with high quality and great conversation, too. They are committed to sustaining this even as the business grows, and I believe they will succeed in doing so. Email address for inquiries is paula55@libero.it.

Gio, I have to agree. Paula and Angelo are wonderful people who do their very best to accommodate their clients' every request. My friend and I were there last week and had the pleasure to go on both a day time lunch cruise and the sunset cruise. Both were an experience not to be missed. Angelo is very proud of his home, and loves to share the history of the area with everyone he meets. Paula is an absolute doll and a phenomenal chef. There is nothing like a day or evening of fantastic food, incredible views, fascinating conversation, and Prosecco!

I will be in this area in September... how far in advance did you book? We will know when we are arriving in the Cinque Terre only a few days before we get there and may not have net access easily for emailing. Hmmm dilemmas.

We booked via email about three weeks prior to our departure. Obviously, the sooner the better, if you can. I would recommend that if you know you are going to be there you book it; it will be the highlight of your trip!

The don't have any space for us today and its our last day. Is there anything else similar you can suggest?

Sounds very interesting.

What are the costs of the tours?

Or is it better to email to get that info?
