Does anyone know of reasonable tours from Montepulciano to local wineries? We are a family of 9 and open to joining a group tour.
If that’s not an option, any suggestions on wineries with a Tuscan view I should visit?
Appreciate any suggestions!
I just booked tickets for De’ Ricci Cantina in Montepulciano for April 2025. Their underground Cantina is within the limits of the Town so easy to get to. On their website they also offer tours of one of their three vineyards with tastings and lunch but you would have to get there on your own.
This is a great start! Since we will have 2 car rentals visiting the others wineries is possible.
Thank you for your thoughts.
We did a day tour wine tasting in October with Fabrizio at Ciao Fabry Tours. We were staying outside Montalcino, he picked us up at our accommodations and drove us around for the day, visiting 2 Brunello wineries and a sheep farm near Pienza for lunch. He does all kinds of day tours for wine tasting, city sites, and even cooking classes, and picks up across a ride range of locations from Florence and throughout much of Tuscany. I believe he actually lives in Montepulciano and does his cooking classes there. I would not hesitate to book him for one or more days. His English is great, he has fantastic local knowledge and connections, reasonable prices for what all we did, and he was incredibly fun.

I can’t wait to check out your reference. Thanks so much!
The De'Ricci Cantina tour is wonderful, one of the best wine tastings we've experienced. The cellars are ancient and quite fascinating, the oldest dates to Etruscan times.
Thank you for your input! Did you eat at any exceptional restaurants in Montepulciano?
