Montepulciano Restaurant

We only have one night in Montepulciano and I really wanted to eat at Osteria Acquacheta. According to the hotel staff where we are staying they will be closed Tues/Wed until June. Of course we'll be there on a Wed. Any restaurant recommendations?

the place is full of good restaurants. We had a really fine dinner at La Grotta which is located just outside the walls by St. Biagio.

I also like Del Conte, although I'm not certain whether it's still in Rick's book.

When we were in Montepulciano in 2015, we ate at Rossi Rubino twice. It had just opened a few months before and is run by a husband and wife team who were incredibly warm and welcoming, serving delicious food. I just checked Trip Advisor and they are now listed as the #3 restaurant in Montepulciano. We also ate at Aquechetta and were not impressed by their superior attitude.
