We will be staying at an agriturismo just outside Montepulciano for a week with two kids ages 10 and 12. I am looking for good restaurant recommendations with good food/ambiance but not overly expensive. Any thoughts?

In Montepulciano, Osteria del Conte (near the Duomo) is very nice and not overly expensive. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Wise to have your agriturismo call for dinner reservations. Osteria dell'Aquacheta is another not overly expensive option and a meat-lovers dream. It's somewhat rustic and cramped, but that can provide for a fun atmosphere. Don't recall whether they take reservations, so you may have a wait to be seated.
