Good morning. We are planning a two night stop in these 2 towns on our way from the Cinque Terre to Rome. We are commuting by train to Chiusi. We really don't want to rent a car or use bus service. How are the taxis to do sightseeing and visiting some vineyards? Are there any car services? How about Uber or Lyft? Thanks for your help travel bloggers! :)

rlucovich - There is a private driver in Tuscany that can accommodate you. He will cover Montalcino and Montepulciano for winery visits. Check links below.

Any suggestions on places to stay in montepulciano or montaicino for two nights? It's a special trip so we're willing to splurge a little! We will stay in one of the towns as our home base and then use the driver (as recommended! TY) to tour the two cities and visit the vineyards!

Villa Poggiano is very romantic. It is nearby Montepulciano. Villa Nobile is within walking distance of the city center of Montepulciano. Villa Lavialiana is another gem in Montepulciano.
