My husband and I will be traveling from Cortona to Montepulciano by car. Can anyone suggest a good place to stay in Montepulciano or the surrounding area? We would like to keep the price in the 100 euro range (or lower) if possible. Thanks!

I would simply suggest you look thru Rick Steve's Italy book; he always has lots of choices in all price ranges. That is where we always start! It is a beautiful drive, all throughout Tuscany; enjoy!!!

We stayed at Meuble Il Riccio last week and loved this hotel. Wonderful view of the valley. Free parking nearby. Just off Piazza Grande. Undergoing some renovations currently but was not a problem. Look it up in Rick's Italy guide.
