We had planned to take the train and get tickets to ride the cable car (May 6th) but then I checked the schedule and realized that we would only be arriving around 3pm and that would be very rushed to be on the last car back down at 4:25pm. We do have a car, so we could drive there in about the same time (3pm arrival). Can we buy tickets at the TOP so we could ride the cable car down and back up? Is it worth doing that, or is the main enjoyment the hiking and views from the top. Thanks for any advice (and yes, I know driving is not ideal, but at least we have that option).
