This was our fourth visit to La Crociona Agriturismo here and we still love it. Its so centrally located to visit hill towns in Tuscany and the caring family that runs it makes one feel part of the family and at home. This time friends went with us and when one got sick, Barbara immediately arranged for a doctor to come, even though it was Saturday. A house call! Our friend got a prescription, we got it filled, and soon his bronchitis was under control and our trip was not ruined. Fiorella & Barbara always treat us wonderfully. Having the kitchenette makes it nice to have breakfast or a meal in the room. Our room "F" is great and we love always staying there, but our friends had "B" with a fireplace which made is very cozy since it was quite chilly out. The new restaurant next door, La Crocina, was fantastic and convenient. Nice play on words: La Crociona + La Cucina= La Crocina! Fantastic food & top notch presentation! Just 6 months in business, but they have a wonderful future if they keep up this menu, level of service, great prices and outstanding presentation. Four of us ate there two nights trying many things on the menu and all were exquisite! (Went with trepidiation because previous restaurant was stuffy, overpriced and not good). Morbido of beef cooked in Brunello melts in your mouth. Appetizer of sauteed artichokes served on crostini with ribbons of pecorino makes my mouth water as I type this. Fantastic. Hot lava chocolate cake topped the meal and was an unforgettable ending. Plate decorated with a treble clef and then we foudn out the chef is also a musician. Nice touch. Cristian and Giorgia have a great restaurant here, don't miss it!
