Looking for recommendations!
Two couples will be in Monopoli May 19-23, 2026. The booking sites indicate that many places are "sold out" or "only 1 room available". I am hoping that maybe many hotels haven't opened their books for 2026, yet. For those of you who have stayed in a wonderful hotel or Air B & B, in a great location in Monopoli for a reasonable rate, would you please share the name?
Also, how about Lecce lodging? Have you stayed in a perfect room there, as well? We will be there May 23-26.

Take a look at Suite Dolce Vita in Monopoli on Booking. High 9.7 rating. It’s by the beach, has two bedrooms in a 1,076 square foot apartment with parking.
For Lecce, look at Historical Suites VVM which looks like a Palazzo. With a 9.9 rating, It won’t be available for long.

My friend and I stayed here in Lecce from 5 nights last September.
Great host, lovely apartment where everything worked and everything you need was available.
I would stay there again.
Conad grocery store just around the next corner, and the Centro Storico about a 15 minute walk away.

When it says only "1 room left" it usually means at that price. It's a sales gimmick to get you to act. Unless it's sold out, no hotel is going to tell you exactly how many rooms are left.
I stayed at the Patria Palace in Lecce. Very nice.
