I am checking on a few vintage shops "for my granddaughter " in the Monti area . Has anyone been there? Some shops sound interesting " 50s - 70's clothing. One offers high end Italian clothing - Goccedi Memoria via Panisperna 238 also one choice is Pifebo via del Serpenti 141. Some are open till 8 or 9 pm but they do close for a few hours in the afternoon. Does anyone know is it walking distance from the Coliseum area ? I have looked at the popular areas that are suggested for shopping , too touristy or expensive . I like the smaller shops . Where do Italian's shop ? Any suggestions ? I wish I had more time but shopping is a side venture for this trip so I want to maximize every minute.

Gail, you can plug addresses into google to see where they are on a map.
Goccedi di Memoria and Pifbo (which is on Via dei Serpenti 141) are both walking distance from the Colosseum. The yelp pages (linked below) show where they are on a map.

Both addresses are an easy and pleasant 10-minute walk from the Colosseum. From the steps above the Colosseum walk up via degli Annibaldi, which after crossing via Cavour becomes via dei Serpenti.
