Through this site we saw saw several tours wih Mondo Guides working thru Rick Steves. We followed thru
on the Amalfi Coast 9 hour tour and on a 3 hour Naples walking tour last week. Both were excellent and at very reasonable prices. Highly recommend folks signing up for these. Very informative.

We have signed for a Mondo tour for the Amalfi Coast in early September. We have not heard from them as of yet to confirm. In your experience how much advance time did you find out that your tour had enough people so the tour would be go. Since the Mondo Guide Tours are so reasonable price compared to most others we would like to be sure we are able to go.

I went on the Mondo Tours Amalfi Coast RS Tour in mid-May. It was certainly a full day and a great deal. I signed up well in advance and found that if I returned to the site as if to sign up again, I could see how many people had signed up, and when they confirmed each group as it reached 8 people. I don't think I actually got a confirmation e-mail until a couple days before. I imagine that as it has moved into high season, there are more people signing up, and more full vans. The tour was very good, but I will add these comments. The tour was billed as having a driver who makes minimal comments, not really a guide. I found that our driver spoke almost non-stop, in totally understandable English. Certainly we got a lot of information, but after a while the non-stop commentary got a little tiring. Also, while I think the tour description said we would spend 60 to 90 minutes in each of Positano, Amalfi and Ravello, with a few photo stops along the way. In actuality there were many quite lengthy photo stops and we only spent about 45, 30, and 30 minutes in the three towns, quite rushed in each one. We also had a leisurely, lengthy lunch stop (each person order and pay their own), a nice lunch but about an hour in a restaurant not in any of the three towns and a room of just our group. Maybe with a little time under their belts the tours have developed some, or each tour may really depend on the individual driver.

Mary J.--We are signed up for 9 hr minibus tour from Sorrento to Amalfi & hoping enough people will join us on9/5/14 and the Pompeii guided tour on 9/4/14. We are watching the sign up list. Both appear reasonably priced. Please sign up!
