Mondoguide tour to Capri

My wife and I will be visiting Sorrento/Naples and the surrounding Amalfi, Pompeii, etc. this coming April and early May. I booked the above per Rick's guidebook suggestion. An update to the guidebook discussion: the per person cost is now 140 euros. The tour meets at a central location rather than picking up at our hotel. Be aware that you will be contacted by the contractor's sales group asking for specifics of your trip and offering their tours to all sites in the area. Just an FYI.

Hi Rob - Welcome to the forums!
If you booked one of these shared MondoGuide tours....

https://www.sharedtours.com

... I don't remember them ever offering hotel pickups; the website has always noted the meeting points for each tour. Yes, the website does state a price of €140 for the Capri tour from Sorrento. To have the RS staff note that change in the dedicated guidebook-updates section of this website (https://www.ricksteves.com/europe/guidebook-updates) contact them here:

Hope you have a great trip!!!!

We did the Mondo Capri tour in 2019
They picked us up and dropped off at our hotel

It was a great day-tons of fun

Interesting, Christine. They note the meet-up point as Bar Nonna Emilia in Via Marina Grande 21 for that one. You didn't have to arrange/pay for a pickup separately? I wonder if that has changed since you did this tour in 2019 'cause honest, I don't recall them offering that service for the advertised tour price. Curiouser and curiouser...

It was included then
No extra fee
Can’t remember what we paid but don’t recall it being much more than 100euros
Included lunch and lots of drinks-beer, wine, Prosecco and limoncello shots

It started out cloudy/drizzly
They emailed us early in the am with a cancellation option but we decided to go anyway
Weather cleared up although the sea was rough

There were a total of 8 people

ETA
Just found my old cost sheet for that trip
We paid 90 euros for the Capri tour

Guess we got a pretty good deal!

Thanks for the feedback, Kathy. I did leave a comment concerning the current tour details on the guide book feedback section.
