Mondo guide to Capri from Sorrento

Has anyone used the private tour company recommended by Rick (Mondo guide )to go to Capri for a day trip from Sorrento? What was your experience? I am wondering if the crowds are too much in Capri and if getting into the blue grotto is worth the craziness :) Grazie for any information or experiences.

We took their Capri tour in 2019
It was one of our favorite days
So much fun
There were just 8 passengers and the weather started out iffy but then cleared
None if us wanted to waste time at Blue Grotto and it was closed due to weather anyway( huge tourist trap)
So they took us on a boat tour around the island instead
The crew were friendly and delightful
That boat tour around island was the best!
Then they dropped us so we took funicular up to town. Had lunch, walked all around etc
Can’t remember how much time they gave us but it was enough for us
The weather turned funky again-super windy so we went back down and had a gelato til time to get in boat
There was plenty of wine beer Prosecco and limoncello

One of the couples on tour did head up to Anacapri so there was time for that

Highly recommend

We took this tour from Mondo Guide for our day trip to Capri from Sorrento last September.

It was absolutely worth it! What I liked was even though Capri was crowded, our private tour guide got into our private Van to go up to Anacapri and we did the chairlift before the crowds came. Then we took our private transport down to Capri and got a guided walking tour and walked to some places that were not crowded. Yes, Capri was crowded. But that's too be expected during the tourist season. Then we boarded our private bus to take us down to the harbor for a the private boat tour around the island.
Yes, it was crowded. Lots of people waiting in line for the public bus. We didn't have to wait in line. We had a private bus.
The boat ride around the island was one of the highlights. The Blue grotto was closed because of high tide, so I can't comment on the wait time for that.
But I recommend the tour. It was well worth the money, in my opinion.
