Mondo Guide Shared Tours

Last week I booked two people for a Shared Transfer Tour from Sorrento to Rome train station with a stop at Pompei for Sept 19, 2023. I thought this was a great idea. Has anyone had any experience with this particular tour as I noticed they suddenly removed Rome as a transfer destination from their website so I don't know how anyone will join my tour to make it valid. I suspect it will get cancel and leave me to scramble to book train tickets.

This is a Rick Steve's recommended tour so I'm a little concerned. I have contacted them several times to share my concerns but they haven't responded yet. I've booked two other tours with them so I'm not sure now.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I didn't use them for that, but I did use a combination of Shared Tours and Mondo Guide for 3 tours out of Sorrento in April. You definitely have to be proactive with them as they did not notify me 3 days in advance to let me know if the tour was cancelled or not. It was up to me to suggest an alternative solution if the required number of people were not signed up. In the end, all of our tours were very good.

It does surprise me that they haven't responded, in ever occasion when I was contacting them to make changes, the response was quick. This is the email address that they always responded to me with. [email protected]

I'm not sure if you know but Shared Tours is part of Mondo Tours. If you use this website, https://mondoguide.it/, you'll see along the top banner that they have shared tours FOR Rick Steves and shared tours ENDORSED by Rick Steves.

We did 2 tours with them in 2019-Pompeii and Capri
If you search this forum I believe you’ll find mostly if not all good reviews
We were very pleased

The shared transfers are new this year so probably not a lot of feedback yet

I’d keep trying to contact them

Thanks for your replies.
I decided to call them and they confirmed my booking. They have a few different websites so it's a bit confusing.
If they don't get enough takers, as you stated I have the choice to foot the total bill or do something different.
