We will end our 3 week tour of Italy in Rome...we thought we might like to stay at a Monastery for the last 4 nights...Your advice please...
We are also staying in Rome in October and a friend of mine who is from Turin suggested a convent. You get your own bathroom and breakfast. It is called Figlie Della Presentatazione di Maria al Tempio.Sister Agnes is in charge. the # 011-39-06-632943 This is in walking distance of the Vatican and right on the bus and subway lines.
Good luck
Bob,
Here's a great site to find a monastery to stay at while in Rome. I've used it numerous times while traveling to Rome and never had any problems. Just be careful, some of them have curfews!
We stayed at a Monastery on our last trip to Rome, we had a fabulous view
from the rooftop. It's called Domus Sessoriana. It wasn't fancy of course, but
very comfortable and included a good breakfast. It was close to bus service.

Bob,
We're staying at a convent in Rome not too far from the train station. "Soure di Santa Elisabetta". The location is perfect for us, near all transportation. This will be our first time staying but after reading the reviews we look forward to the experience
