Has anyone stayed in a monastery while visiting Rome?

When you say "monastery", I assume you mean to include convents that offer accommodations. Many travelers reporting here have had good experience with convents, although you have to understand what you get in a convent, it's not a 3-star hotel, toilets are often not in your room, etc. Go here for a list of convents in Rome offering accommodations http://www.santasusanna.org/comingToRome/convents.html.
