I am going to try blogging on our upcoming trip to Italy. I will have my iPhone and a small netbook. I have never blogged in my life other than Face Book, if you can call that blogging. My brother uses wordpress - which does have an app for the iPhone. But I was wondering what else was out there and what others have used. Thanks for your help!
Can't help you with this, but I've been reading that people are getting horribly high bills from using iPhones in Europe, or just even having them on. You might want to search the general europe site before blogging from your iPhone.
I'll be setting the phone to airplane mode and using it like like a iPod touch - posting when (if) I find wifi - no 3g to run up my bill
Oops - AN iPod not A iPod - I'm a teacher and hate bad grammar - :o)
There's Blogger, which I have used to blog trips, but it's not significantly different from wordpress. I always draft my blogs in an external program, like Word, One Note, or Notebook, or the iphone's "Notes" program, just in case. That also lets me write while things are fresh in my mind, if my hotel doesn't have internet. Then I can just copy/paste them whenever I'm hooked up again, but I don't forget any details
iPhone or iPad or iPod Touch with wifi, all use the same apps.
Not true. Apps for iphone and itouch are the same. They must be modified for Ipad...and there are some apps strictly for Ipad that are not available for the iphone or itouch. And there are some apps available for Iphone that are not available for Itouch.
I have used the Wordpress Itouch app. While it's not a lot of fun to write a lot on the keyboard, it's doable. My suggestion would be to use the netbook for your blogs. Much easier.
Wordpress and Blogger are the two best known blogging sites.
