Minori, Italy in July

We will be in Sorrento for 4 nights in July (husband & I, 4 adult children), and hope to visit our ancestral city of Minori on a Sunday or Monday for food and shopping. Does anyone know if shops/restaurants significantly more closed on Sunday or if either day is good for us to explore?

In July everything should be opened.
Be sure to stop at Sal de Riso pasteriacia.

Easiest way to get there … ferry from Sorrento to Amalfi then bus to Minori.

Yes most places will be open, but it is a small village, not a city, without a lot of shopping or dining opportunities. You can always get on the bus and go to another nearby town, however.

Thank you both for your insights! Very helpful!

I like the ferry/bus option, but don't see that I can book now (unless I am missing). Guessing the summer routes will be posted maybe later? Roughly when would you recommend we book the Sorrento/Amalfi r/t ferry tickets for early July? And do we need to book the bus, too, or can we just catch that when we arrive?

Also, if so small a town, anything we should know about restaurant schedules (will they close between 3pm-7pm, need reservations for noon lunch? cash only? other?).

No advanced booking. Seats are first come, first served and the bus will fill very quickly.

For July, simply book the ferry the day before you wish to travel. The bus you can get tickets the day of. Though you might have to wait for the next bus. Amalfi is the transportation hub for the bus, so if you’re return trip starts in Maiori, you’ll need to change busses to go from Amalfi to Sorrento.
