MINI Fare - printed out "ticket"...how do I validate?

Hi All - We bought the MINI fare for a trip between Rome and Naples. I printed out the "ticket details" document; it has a barcode/etc. Do I validate this prior to riding the train....or on the train? Based on this: http://www.trenitalia.com/cms/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=38ae99e8e609a110VgnVCM1000003f16f90aRCRD I believe that I just get on board with my "receipt" and the PNR code...and I'm good to go. The tip in a previous post about validating the ticket got me thinking...what do I do? Thanks in advance!

Validating is not necessary for tickets with reserved seats. Its for trains (such as Regionale) where the ticket can be used on multiple trains without assigned seating. I also bought a MINI fare for the fast train from Rome to Naples (and back). LOVE MINI fares!

According to their website (concerning print-at-home tickets): "As they are already validated, you can board your train directly!" You can't validate a piece of paper; those machines are for actual train tickets (like airline tickets, if you've seen one of those before LOL Depending on how long you've been flying, you may NOT have ever seen an airline paper ticket!).

Thanks to all for the replies and helpful info. I haven't been to Italy, although I've been to other places in Europe several times. And yes, I'm old enough to know what a paper airline ticket is ;-)
