Milan-where to sleep, what to do?

In Milan for two nights at the end of October. Looking for an economical place to sleep. We can take mass transport to get to sights. Is there a good walking tour that includes the Last Supper? What other sights do you recommend?

Based on recommendations from this forum we spent two nights at the Gran Duca di York. Very nice centrally located 3 star hotel. Besides the Last Supper the main Milan attractions are the Duomo and Sforza Castle. I will add the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana an amazing and eclectic collection of art. We had a great walking tour which included skip the line tickets to the Last Supper and the Duomo. I did not make the arrangements. The guide’s name was Gianluca but I don’t know his agency.

We stayed in the Lancaster Hotel for 2 nights at the end of our week in the Cinque Terre and it was great. It was a short, easy walk through a nice park to the Sforza Castle.
