My husband and I will be in Italy for a couple of weeks in March. We are thinking of starting in Milan. We definitely will end for the last week in Rome (visiting with family there). What would be our best way to spend sometime in Umbria. Suggestions for best umbrian visit are welcome as well as best way to get there. We prefer to only rent a car for short trips between towns in Umbria. We would like to travel by train as much as possible. Suggestions are welcome.
