Milan transfer

I'm traveling in the Lake Garda region- then driving to Milan and taking the TGV to Paris. I plan to leave my rental car at Linate Airport, because the rental locations in the city are hard to find, and have limited hours. What is the easiest and most economical way to get from Linate to Garibaldi Train Station, where the TGV departs from?. I have an early morning departure and was considering just getting room by the station to minimize stress. Travel day is Easter Monday.

Nine minutes by taxi from Linate to Garibaldi station. Bus/train combinations at 29-35 minutes, but it seems worth it for the taxi. I don't know about hotels near Garibaldi, sorry.

Either Easter Sunday or Easter Monday (also a holiday in Italy) is likely to have all rental locations closed in the city, therefore the airport is probably your only alternative on those two days. Rental locations at train stations (like Milano Centrale) may also be open on Sundays and Holidays, but you need to check the website of the company you are renting from.

The taxi is the best option from the airport (8km=5miles from the city center), especially on a holiday.
