Milan Tours?

I will be staying in Milan Saturday and Sunday before flying out early Monday this fall. This is my first, and likely only time through Italy and have various tours lined up for the trip while staying in Rome, Florence, and Cinque Terre.

While in Milan, I plan to just relax and walk around Sunday, but would like to see the Last Supper and the Duomo including rooftop walk via elevator. I will probably, perhaps not, get a guide for Duomo, and was planning on not getting guide for Last Supper.

My question - Is the Duomo worth doing with a guide, (meaning will there be significant information provided by a decent guide while being 'escorted' through areas) and does anyone here recommend to get a guide for the Last Supper?

I do not speak any foreign languages, trying to learn typical 'needed' common phrases in Italian of course.

Thank you all for information provided. I did search for these topics, but for the most part found dated materials I was not sure if still applied.

While planning this trip I have often been at this forum and would like to say thank you to many who have taken to answer all the posts throughout, it is a treasure of information.

The Duomo is easily visited on one’s own, IMO. Not sure of you can (or should) buy a ticket in advance these days.

The Last Supper is notoriously difficult to get tickets for. I would consider going through a tour company if only for the ease of acquiring a ticket that suits your schedule.

If you are lucky enough to score tix for Last Supper you should add the English tour -about 8 euros?- it was very good
The time slot is for only 15 min so you get guided info before and after that slot

Duomo doesn’t need a guide.

The Search function is wonky but be sure to filter by type and date or you’ll get results from 10 years ago!
