We will depart Milan to spend 4 days in Venice. What is the train travel time and does first class make sense here? I thought about maybe having some fun along the way and stopping at Verona and taking a stroll past the Roman ruins before heading into Venice and checking in. Thoughts? Is this easy enough? Any other towns on the way that would be better?
Schedules and fares:
Trains run hourly. If you wish, you can buy two separate tickets (Milan/Verona and Verona/Venice) and get off at Verona to tour the town. There is a luggage hold depot at the train station to do this.
Do I need to make a reservation or is it easy enough to buy at the time of departure at the station? Thanks!
