just found out I'm joining my husband in Milan this weekend!
we don't want to spend time in Milan and want to head towards Verona. We have two days free before being north of Venice for a day meeting he has near Butrio area north of Palmanova. After that we have 3 full days to ourselves. Wondering what we might want to see north of Vinice along water or go back down towards Florence, which we love. We love wine/food relaxing.... Had bad experience in Venice and it was raining last time. Stay near Verona two days and head toward Palmanova ?
If you have a car, go to the Colli Euganei. North of Padova. Home of prosecco. I know an excellent agriturismo location, easy driving to some beautiful small towns like Este, Montagnana, Arqua Petrarca; let me know if you want the name.

If it's not raining, do consider giving Venice another chance. I can certainly understand how rain would make Venice not fun (my sister had the same experience).
Have you been to Padova or Ferrara? These are two of my favorites.
Two of you mentioned Padavo so I will check that out. Should we stay near lake Garda or Verona a night or 2? More info on the little towns sounds great!
Thanks much. Packing a carry on today!

My husband and I are considering visiting this area, would love the name of the agriturismo you mentioned. Thank you!
