Is there a quick, easy way to travel by train from Milan to Nice, France? The best I've found is a 2-train multi-stop 5 hour train ride. Thanks!

That's about it. Via Michelin.com estimates it's 3 hours 17 minutes ( and for practicality add 25% ) and 301 km to drive.
Eurolines has a bus for around 37 euro a person but it is a hideous schedule- leaves at 11 pm and arrives at 3.15 am, the day I checked. There are probably other buses, but the scenery on that route is nice- take the train.
