Milan to les Marches by train?

I've always had good luck with deutsche bahn for researching train routes. I'm going from Milan to Fabriano this fall. I know it's possible to take the train to Fabriano; I was told to go to that station by the person who will pick me up. However, Deutsche Bahn keeps saying the route isn't possible. I've also tried Milan to Pesaro, hoping that would work, and that I could then do Pesaro to Fabriano... no luck. And I tried entering a date in June, to see if that was the problem. Any suggestions for how to plan this portion of my train travel? I'm traveling Oct 10, and I know those schedules haven't yet been posted, but I just want some general information for planning, booking lodging, etc.

Hi Sherry. Trenitalia.com lets you go to Fabriano! (I don't know what DB's problem is.) It looks like there's really only one train a day with decent connections: leaving Milan at 11:10 a.m. with two changes - about a six-hour journey. From Pesaro, there are trains almost hourly to Fabriano if you can find one you like from Milan to Pesaro. Have fun!

Hi Sherry. Use the Italy train site trenitalia.com; use a date in May and you will see all the trains. Enjoy your trip!
