I would like to take a day trip from Milan to Lake Come and would like to see both Varenna and Bellagio with a return back to Milan from either.
However, when I researched the water connections, I am confused and concerned about all of the negative reviews about the ticket offices and frequency of transportation back and forth.
Are there boat schedules and ferry schedules? What vendors should I be looking at? It seems ferrys run only 4 times a day yet I see an almost hourly schedule on this schedule I found.
Would it be best to leave from Bellagio/Como to get back to Milan by train or Varenna to Milan by train?
