It's really best or you to use something like Google Maps to plot your own course, instead of trying to interpret the written instructions of someone here. Then you can see the route, print out the maps. Or bring a GPS (highly recommended).

The above poster's comment is most cogent. We use a Garmin GPS with a European maps micro sd. Easy, easy. The Google Maps idea is easy, easy as well.

GPS is helpful, but I did it without one and had no problems that I recall.
However, the drive is absolutely beautiful, but the road is quite narrow in some places, and a bit winding.... when we got there they were selling t-shirts that said "I drove to Bellagio and survived to tell about it"! Wasn't really that bad, but you just need to take it easy in sections... well worth the effort.
