We will be traveling by train from Varenna to Milan early Sunday in mid-June. We only have one day to spend in Milan. What is the best plan to experience Milan for this limited time?
This depends on your interests. Mind start with art, so I spent a lot of time in art museums. A more typical visitor might try to get tickets to see The Last Supper (very difficult, and I don't know when the mid-June tickets go on sale or whether they have already been snapped up), then see the fabulous Duomo, where a visit to the roof is very popular. The Sforza Castle has a lot to see and isn't terribly expensive.

Last Supper tickets for May-August on went on sale nearly a month ago. I think a new batch of tickets are released Wednesday at noon but only for the following week.
