For anyone who has been to Milan, how is the nightlife. I am debating if i should spend the night there after i see some site or just go straight to venice. I always pictured Milan like the NYC of Italy so was hoping it is worth spending more time in
Well i know venice nightlife is duller than most places i just was hoping milan offered some interesting nightlife to make it worth the stay over night. Venice will be my relax mode at night. Im up for anything whether it be a club or bar or lounge
Milan and Venice are at opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to nightlife - Venice has almost none. What kind of nightlife are you interested in? Jazz clubs? Dancing?
I was supposed to go on a night trip to Milan earlier this year, but it was canceled. Anyway, before that I researched some clubs. There are some upscale ones with long entry lines and fancy dress codes, if that is what you're looking for. There were a couple of them that sounded a little more "indie" and then some pubs and things to just hang out at.
I don't remember most of their names except that Plastic and Alcatraz seemed popular.

That should get you started on finding reviews and such. I am having serious internet issues, or I'd go further and find some better links, but everything is giving me a "non trovato" message. ah!
Milan offers the best clubbing in Italy. Given that it's also the fashion capital, be prepared for dress codes...probably more strongly enforced than the Vatican.
