I'm flying into MXP but will only stay there a day or two and then taking Ryanair to Spain for two weeks. I'd like to rent storage for some of my belongings so I can operate out of a carry on. Is there a small locker at or around the airport that I can rent for a couple weeks. It doesn't need to be a big one, I'm not bringing a suitcase. Any suggestions? When I return, I'll pick up my gear and spend the bulk of my time in Italy.

FYI, lockers are rare for security reasons. Most luggage facilities are "manned."

Click on Terminal 1, then look at Terminal 2 although I did not see a left luggage service for that terminal. If you need further details, e-mail the airport.
Ask your Milan hotel if they'll store it for you. Then when you come back stay at that same hotel. Go there again before flying home too. That hotel will be your friend.
Why can you not travel the entire journey with only a carry-on? Seems to me the money spent on luggage storage and/or checking bags on super-discount air carriers would pay for a lot of incidentals and laundry services.
