Milan Malpensa Vs Linate Airports

Hello!
I need to arrive in Munich from Milan around 9-11am on June 22nd (meeting up with others flying in from the U.S). I'll be staying close to the Milano Centrale Station and can either take a 7:30am from Linate or an 8:45am from Malpensa (the perfect flight leaves Linate at 9:50am but is a lot more expensive).

Does anyone have experience with these airports? Malpensa is a lot further and maybe bigger, so would I not really get to sleep much longer even with the later flight? Is one airport more efficient than the other? Which one would you choose?
Thanks!!

I would choose Linate in a minute.

Malpensa is about 1 hour away by train from Milano Centrale (about the same by taxi, but at 115€ the cost is 8 times as much as the train)

Linate is 20 min away by taxi (maybe 40 euro max) and it is small and easy to navigate. If you care to save, you can also take a bus or the metro but with luggage I'd take a taxi directly from the hotel.
