Milan Malpensa Airport medications ad liquid guideline

Traveling through Malpensa MXP via Delta both ends of my trip. Ive read the guidelines from MXP site but not clear to me.
I had intended to bring 2 lorazepam (expired last year-its fine) for each side of the journey. Are dates checked?

Frequently I put my OTC supplements and meds in 1 container, will this be an issue -Ive been told to bring a list of what is in container I don's think that will work if its that closely monitored.

I leave my one prescription drug in its container, I use a spray- that is prescribed, the box with info takes too much space do I need to bring this? Looks like separate clear bag for liquid (stay in carry-on when going thru security) and separate bag for meds. Electronics out of bag iPad and phone-correct?

Looks like we will travel in and out of Terminal 1 -2nd floor departure, have other travelers felt that fast track status was necessary?
With domestic travel I use Delta /AE rooms-any experiences with lounges at MXP.

  1. MEDS: They don't check anything. I always put my meds all mixed in one container to save room and put it in my carry on.
If it's a restricted med, maybe bring a paper or electronic copy of your prescription just in case, although they won't check anything. An orange container with a label means nothing anyway, since it is not used in Italy (they give you meds in the original box there, they don't transfer to the plastic containers).

  2. LIQUIDS: All restrictions have been removed this summer with the implementation of new Xray and CT scan technology at MXP, LIN, TRN and FCO. You can leave everything in your bag and there are no restrictions on the size of the containers.

  3. ELECTRONICS: No need to remove anything from the bag anymore. Leave everything inside. All requirements to pull them out have been removed last month because of the implementation of the new technology at no. 2.

Lorazepam is classed as a narcotic, so make sure you bring your prescription.

I use a hair blow dryer to heat the labels off the medicine bottles and place the label on a baggie with the pills inside. Takes up very little space and if you end up at a hospital you have all the info that could possibly be needed by a doctor to treat you. I have never once been questioned about my medication. J

Flew out of Malpensa yesterday morning. Once you have your boarding pass you go to the automatic security gates, scan the boarding pass and head to the baggage scanners. You pull out a bin and place your carryon in it and push it on to the conveyor belt. You don’t take out liquids or electronics or take off your shoes or belts. If you have a jacket you put that in a bin too. It is as smooth and fast as any security screening can be.
