Milan Last Supper website

I haven't seen any posts on the most reliable website to buy tickets view the Last Supper in Milan in a couple of years. What is the consensus? How far ahead are they available. We will be there the second week in September.

Go online as soon as they go on sale. I've bought tickets twice the past 3 years on that site. There have been other posts about purchasing tickets from the same official site.

I suggest going to the Viator website and purchasing a half day tour of Milan. Be sure to select the bus tour that includes The Last Supper. We found the tour to be well priced and an excellent overview of Milan. This is a great way to see The Last Supper with interesting commentary provided by a local guide. Purchase your tickets as soon as possible, as visits are timed and only a small number of people are allowed in the room at a time. This lovely work of art exceeded our expectations!

If you cannot get tickets from the official site and you don't want a tour of the city, you can get tickets from a broker site for a markup (but still far less than a tour). I use Select Italy fairly often.

I have used Select Italy also.
In our case, once in Milan, the front desk at the Berna Hotel suggested the half day tour so we could see the Last Supper the first time and that worked well. On that tour we also saw Sforzy Castle's Michaelangelo which we might not have seen otherwise. You may scoff at a bus tour but it was expedient and fairly inexpensive.

I was able to buy tickets for the vivaticket site for July. All I can say is that the site is v v inconsistent. Tickets go on sale 3 months before, but they did not. There were messages on the website on when they would be available...which is great. But on that day when I started checking they showed 0 availability. I assumed I was not fast enough.
I checked on subsequent days and saw availability on days but still not the day I was looking for. As days went but the availability numbers keep changing, some days I see they are available and then a little later the yare not...only to reappear again.
Anyways when I figured out the inconsistency I kept checking and perseverance paid off I guess. I was able to get 4 tickets on the date that would work for me.
Final message: Try try try again!
