Anyone know when tickets for September I'll go on sale? Thanks
I can't tell you exactly, but I would be checking every day now. They are on sale up until 8/31/17 right now and the day they go on sale you have to act fast. Wish I could be more specific, but the website didn't say.
Thanks, I am checking every morning.
What is the best website to purchase Last Supper Tickets and have you had any luck for September? We need them for September 24th...thanks.
Try a broker. Costs more but you will get tickets.
There are a half dozen threads on this topic right now, something may be amiss with the official site.
Tickets for September went on sale July 24th. They were sold out in a couple of hours. I keep hitting "refresh" and did score two tickets for September 5th!
Take a close look at what you are purchasing before you commit. We truly just wanted to purchase reservations to view the Last Supper. I managed to purchase a guided small group tour, led by an American woman. We trained from somewhere to Milan and barely got to our meeting place in time. Upon our entry to the room, our tour guide insisted we stay with her at the back while she provided information. I appreciate insight, but we had done our "homework" and truly wished for more time with Leonardo's magnificent masterpiece. 10 minutes at the back of the room facing our guide and 5 precious minutes to view the fresco was not ideal, it was frustrating and a lost precious opportunity.
Our recommendation, ensure you are able to focus on the fresco with as much time and as closely as possible.
I just purchased tickets about three weeks ago for August -- we still had the choice between two of the guided English tour times for the only day we could do it, so it wasn't as "sold out" as I was afraid. As the RS guide book says, if you go to the official ticketing site for Cenacolo Vinciano (the Last Supper), cenacolovinciano.org, you'll see the number to call for reservations (I used: 011 39 02 92 800 360). If you try to book online and it shows that your days are unavailable, you should call, since the website is never updated for cancellations. I tried on a Saturday morning (Italy time) and couldn't get through, so tried again on a weekday, making sure to wait a little past the scheduled start time. You listen first to a string of Italian on the message, and unless you're fluent feel quite lost until you hear something like for other languages press another number. Everything went smoothly once I got to a person. There was no additional charge to use this company (the receipt comes through as from Best Union Company). I was a little afraid she would have trouble getting my email address, but clearly she had less trouble with my accent and understanding the English pronunciation of letters/numbers than I expected. If you just google for the Last Supper, you'll see several other sites that will sell you 70 euro tickets to a tour that includes the Last Supper as well as other museums, which we were not interested in.
