Milan/ Lake Garda/ Verona- Where to stay

The Giulietta e Romeo Hotel might work for you in Verona. It may be too close to the Arena for you, but when we stayed there in 2015, I thought it was pretty luxurious for the price.

We booked this for July, 2018. It is close to the Brescia train station that is only 35 minute direct to Verona. It is not as touristy as Lake Como and seems more secluded and looks beautiful. https://www.vrbo.com/861844ha?unitId=1204226

Your profile doesn't indicate where you're located, so not sure if you'll have access to a RS Italy guidebook. The book has lots of accommodation listings in various parts of each of the cities you mentioned.

A few thoughts......

• MILAN - you can either stay close to Milano Centrale as that's really convenient for transportation. Have a look at Hotel Berna or Hotel Garda. You could also stay in the vicinity of the Duomo and Via Dante, which is a nice area.
• LAKE GARDA - the first thing you'll have to decide is which town you want to stay in on Lake Garda. At the south end, Peschiera del Garda and Desenzano are both convenient as they have rail stations and access to the Ferries. Sirmione doesn't have rail access so it's less convenient. Towards the north, you could also look at Malcesine which is very popular.
• VERONA - I like to stay close to Piazza Bra, as there are some nice hotels in that area and it's convenient to the restaurants and the sights. Have a look at Hotel Europa to see if it fits your criteria.
• VENICE - one hotel that's very popular with many here is Pensione Guerrato. Have a look at their website to see if that might work.
