We will be in Milan on July 7th & 8th, and have tickets for the Expo on the 8th. Looking for a recommended city tour on the 7th, possibly just an afternoon because we will arrive in the morning.

If you enjoy art, I would add the Brera and Ambrosian galleries to the list above. And the area around the Brera has some nice restaurants.
And there are three (or four, depending on who you trust) beautiful early churches that date back to St Ambrose.
