Milan Hotels or Airbnb?

Hi everyone, we will spend 2 nights in Milan before our way back from Europe to US. Could you please suggest if any good hotels, not very expensive we can book in Milan from US for family of 4? We will travel through Spain, South of France and Italy for 3 weeks and we will stay only in apartments that we are rented true airbnb.com. It will be great to stay in the hotel not far away from the Milan Malpenza airport, or with shuttle to airport. Or will it be better to rent an apartment again? We would like to see Milan, but at the same time be sure that we will not miss our flight back. Thank you very much for all your help in advance!

You might consider Hotel Garda. It is a five minute walk to the central train station. From there you can take a bus to either airport. I found the rates to be reasonable.

Not very expensive means different things to different people. If you can provide a euro or dollar amount you can receive more help.

We always stay at the 4 star property Hotel Berna and it is a terrific place to stay. The entire place is non-smoking, the staff is extremely helpful, and it serves the best breakfast in Milano. It is located about 400 meters from Stazione Centrale on Via Napo Torriano.

Also, check venere.com, booking.com and then cross reference with tripadvisor.com. However, the comments are more reliable on venere and booking because to post a comment rating you must have stayed there.

Buon viaggio,

Thank you very much for your insight, everyone! To be clear I think about $100 -$120 per night is not too expensive for us, but I understand that Milan is very expensive city. I will check all hotels that were suggested.

I think you will find the hotels near the station to be well within your budget. I like Hotel Garda, across the street from Berna (never stayed at the latter). From that part of Via Napo Torriani, you can see the train station when you walk out the door of the hotel.

I don't know which web sites you checked, but you might go directly to the hotels' web sites. Both the Garda and the Berna appear to have rooms available for those nights in July, the Garda with rooms starting at just 48 Euros.

Hi Larry, we are family of 4, and hotel Guarda do not have rooms for 4 , they have rooms for 2 adults only, and for kids they said we need to rent separate room. this is not really convenient for us.
