Any "reasonable" recommendations? Just for one night. Also place for dinner.
Thank you.
Alex,
I assume you mean Milano Centrale and not Milano Cadorna station?
You might have a look at Hotel Garda which is within walking distance from Milano Centrale. For dinner suggestions, I usually ask the hotel staff for recommendations.
Yes correct ~thank you!
I stayed at the Hotel Berna. Walking distance from Milano Centrale and very nice and reasonable.
About 2 blocks from the Berna is the Antica Osteria Cavallini. Its on Via Mauro Macchi. Eat early with the tourists or late with the locals. Beautiful covered terrace dining in the back.
The Milan Metro is very efficient, and can whisk you almost anywhere in town quickly. Milan's Central Station is on both line 2 (green) and line 3 (yellow). So, while you can eat near the train station if you wish, you aren't limited to that area.
I have stayed in the Hotel Berna and also directly across the street at the Garda.
The location is perfect and there are several places near by for a nice dinner.
The Garda is a little less expensive than the Berna.
Both are just a couple blocks from the main train station.
I would recommend either place.
Hotel Florida is about 2 blocks from Milano Centrale and was 100 euro per night including breakfast in September, 2013. Restaurants are another block away. Have a good trip.
Hilton advance purchase?
Thank you for great suggestions and we are going to try that restaurant!
We just returned from our trip to Italy and we spent 2 nights at the Hotel Berna. Great location from Milano Centrale. It is a 4 minute walk. It had the best breakfast of our entire trip in Italy! The hotel staff are very helpful and you can walk to the Duomo in around 25 minutes. I would definitely recommend staying here.
